Bio

Location: 1050 N Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803

Established: 2015

Framework is unique - and you can't help but notice that as you walk up. You'll find them located inside a converted trailer off Mills in Orlando. After years working as a chef and barista, owner Danny Forester decided to combine his passions for entrepreneurship, food, and coffee to create Framework. He started the venture in 2015 as a table-top location serving only pour overs, and has expanded operations over the years to the current footprint inside the mobile bar. Framework is focused on supporting local. From their partnerships with local coffee roasters and bakeries, to their Pay What You Want pricing approach, the business model is set up to synergize with the community and make craft coffee accessible to all. The experience won't disappoint - go check them out!

Offering

Framework has coffee options for everyone - espresso-based drinks, specialty drinks, pour overs, Aeropress, cold brew, nitro cold brew - the list goes on, and you'll wonder how they do it all inside the trailer! You'll find a selection of beans to pick from, all sourced through local Florida roasting partners (more below). The carefully-crafted menu rotates on a seasonal basis to keep things fresh and interesting throughout the year. Danny's years of experience as a chef shine brightly through Framework's offerings. Flavor syrups are house-made from scratch to ensure only the highest quality local ingredients find their way into your cup. Locally sourced pastries have been hand-selected for the bar. The menu items are reflective of Framework's core mission to support and grow the community.

Hardware

The Centerpiece: 1970 Converted Trailer

The most notable piece of hardware at Framework is - well - Framework. It's custom built on a converted 1970 model dual-axel trailer, and modified perfectly on the inside to fit the needs of the coffee bar. Framework is almost entirely self-contained. The only thing requiring external power is the gold-plated Elektra Maxi Two Group espresso machine. Elektra has been producing classic Italian espresso machines since 1947 at their facilities just 15 miles north of Venice. Framework leans heavily on the Maxi each day to meet the demands of the shop.

Sourcing Style: Local Roasters, Responsibly Sourced

Roaster: Otus Coffee, Zeal Coffee Roasters, and KOS

Framework works with multiple local roasters, including Otus Coffee in Winter Garden, Zeal Coffee Roasters in Tampa, and KOS in Winter Park. They offer a range of roast profiles from regions worldwide, so there is no shortage of coffee diversity on the menu. All three roasters uphold responsible sourcing practices and are bringing in some of the highest quality specialty-grade coffee available on the market. Danny uses the options available from the roasters to dial in the flavor profiles for Framework's seasonal offerings.
